The SBAC is a non-partisan 501(c)6 organization that advocates for Small Businesses in Illinois. We are member-driven and dedicated to bring issue-based advocacy that will keep small businesses alive in Illinois.
The COVID-19 pandemic is having a devastating impact on individuals, families and communities. The pandemic is also causing tremendous financial hardship on small and local businesses. The SBAC is fighting to help small businesses stay in alive and retain their employees.
We are working tirelessly to help the small business community navigate these difficult times, and we ask you to consider helping us reach our goals to continue our critical work.
Here are some of the issues that we are currently working on:
Ensuring that small businesses and property owners can remain in business through mortgage and rent deferments.
Establishing tax credits for retraining and hiring business owners and employees impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Advocating for programs that will allow small businesses access to capital.
Eliminating unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles that hurt small and local businesses.
Working to ensure that small businesses in economically challenged communities can partner with financial institutions.
Issues related to business interruption insurance.
